The major pilgrimage tour in the Hindu religion, the spiritual Char Dham Yatra, is just around the corner. And if you are one of those devotees who are planning on taking this spiritual journey, it is best to know all the important details beforehand so that you can be prepared. The Char Dham yatra begins in Uttarakhand, covering four major temples, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Registration for each of the temple is compulsory for darshans. This guide will provide you all the details of registration process to make your Char Dham yatra seamless.

As per the latest update, the online registration portal for Char Dham tour will be opened on 1st March 2025. You have to register yourself in order to get darshan and stay. The bookings can be made through their official website or through WhatsApp. Offline registration is also available.

Char Dham Online Registration Steps

Here is the full step-by-step guide on how to register for Char Dham Yatra:

  • Go to Char Dham’s official website Registration and tourist care
  • Read the details about registration and verification process
  • Proceed with login/register

If this is your first time visiting the portal, you have to register a new account in order to continue further. To create a new account, click on register and provide all the necessary details which is asked in the form. You will have to provide your full name and mobile number. Then select your tour type from operator, individual, or family. Create a strong password which will be used for logging in to your account, and then hit sign-up.

If you already have an account, all you have to do is enter your registered mobile number and your password, after that just verify the captcha and hit sign-in. Once you are successfully logged in, you will see the dashboard. From there you have to select the Registration for Tour option, and then click on View/Modify. From there, you can modify your existing booking or create a fresh booking by providing all the details.

  • Go to Manage Tour Info to modify your details and add a new tour. Once you click on it, Plan Your Trip page will popup.
  • Then you have to click on the Add New Tour button to begin the registration of a new tour or create one. Select Tour Type and Tour Duration.
  • Enter No. of Tourists. Here you can have to enter the number of people traveling together.
  • Choose Mode of Travel, i.e. by road, helicopter, walking, etc.
  • Choose the specific date of the tour. After that, hit save.
  • Once you save the details, you will see that a new tour has been created and is visible on the dashboard.
  • Now you have to click on Mange Tour Info and add pilgrims to that tour.
  • Once the page loads, you will see the pilgrim registration form for all the tourist going on that particular tour.
  • Here you will have to enter the following details about people who are traveling in this tour.
  • Full name, age, gender
  • Mobile number and email address
  • Enter Aadhar card number
  • Select your state, city, district, country, and provide full address
  • Details of emergency contact person, mobile number, relation, etc. (should not be in the travel group)
  • After that, you have to select the Mode of Travel for Dham (only applicable after arriving in Uttarakhand). For example, provide details of your driver and vehicle if you are bringing a cart.
  • If you have chosen the travel mode option during the tour creation, Mode of Travel Options will be visible to you. Available options are:
  • Bus/mini bus
  • Private car
  • Taxi
  • Helicopter
  • Two-wheeler
  • Walking
  • Select your medical condition if applicable.
  • Select an ID proof option and upload the documents. The accepted options are:
  • Aadhar Card
  • Pan Card
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • After that, hit save. Repeat the process again to add more pilgrims to the current tour. Once you added everyone, hit Finish.
  • Once you done, you can download your Yatra Registration Letter. It will contain a unique QR code. An SMS will be sent as well with a unique ID.
  • Tourists are advised to keep the letter and the SMS with them during their tour.
  • Yatrimitra will check the SMS and the QR code for verifications before check-in.
  • Once verification is done, you will receive a Yatri Certificate in your login.
  • To download the certificate, just login and select the Yatri Darshan Certificate option from the dashboard.

Char Dham Physical Registration Point

You can also register yourself and get the Chardham Yatra offline pass. The pass can be obtained from the following places:

  • Haridwar – Rahi Hotel
  • Rishikesh – ISBT and Gurudwara

Offline passes will be available once the darshans are started. You cannot obtain them beforehand.

There are multiple checkpoints available from where you can check in for the visit. The checkpoints are:

  • Barkot – Yamunotri
  • Hina – Gangotri
  • Sonprayag – Kedarnath
  • Pandukeshwar – Badrinath
  • Govind Ghat – Hemkunt Sahib
