Chhat Puja 2023: A Divine Celebration

Kharna is the second day of Chhath and it is observed with a waterless fast that lasts from sunrise time to sunset. Devotees break their fast only after sunset offering food to the Sun God only.

Day 3 Chhath Puja or Sandhya Arghya

On the third day of Chhath Arghya is offered to the sun at dusk and this stage of fasting continues till nightfall and throughout the night.

Day 4 Usha Arghya or Parana Day

The last day of chhath puja Usha Arghya is offered to the rising sun. The 36-hour fast is broken on the last day after offerings are made to the Sun God. The sunrise and sunset times are decided after seeing it in Drik Panchang.
