Tempo Traveller Fare Per Day in Delhi
A day in a tempo traveller is billed one of two ways. Inside Delhi NCR you pay a fixed package for set hours and km. Outside Delhi you pay for at least 250 km at the seater’s per km rate, plus a ₹500 driver charge.
Local Tempo Traveller Packages in Delhi

| Airport or railway station pick-up / drop | ₹3,500 |
| 4 hours / 40 km | ₹5,000 |

For a sightseeing day covering Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar and Akshardham, book the 8 hours / 80 km package.

Trip-Wise Tempo Traveller Fare from Delhi
Seven common trips from Delhi, priced for each seater. Each fare is billable km × per km rate + ₹500 per day for the driver. Billable km is the round-trip distance or 250 km per day, whichever is higher.
| Trip from Delhi (one way) | Days | Billable km | 9 seater | 12 seater | 16 seater | 20 seater |
| Vrindavan (183 km) | 1 | 366 | ₹7,454 | ₹8,918 | ₹9,650 | ₹10,748 |
| Haridwar (220 km) | 1 | 440 | ₹8,860 | ₹10,620 | ₹11,500 | ₹12,820 |
| Agra (231 km) | 1 | 462 | ₹9,278 | ₹11,126 | ₹12,050 | ₹13,436 |
| Rishikesh (258 km) | 2 | 516 | ₹10,804 | ₹12,868 | ₹13,900 | ₹15,448 |
| Jaipur (280 km) | 2 | 560 | ₹11,640 | ₹13,880 | ₹15,000 | ₹16,680 |
| Shimla (341 km) | 3 | 750 | ₹15,750 | ₹18,750 | ₹20,250 | ₹22,500 |
| Manali (537 km) | 5 | 1,250 | ₹26,250 | ₹31,250 | ₹33,750 | ₹37,500 |
Not included: GST at 5% of the km fare, night charges, state tax, tolls, parking and sightseeing km at the destination. For Shimla and Manali, the 250 km daily minimum sets the bill, because the round trip is shorter than the km you book. Split across a full vehicle, the 5 day Manali trip comes to ₹2,604 per person in a 12 seater and ₹1,875 in a 20 seater.
Line-by-line examples with GST and state tax are in our guide to the tempo traveller per km rate in Delhi.
What Is Extra on Top of the Tempo Traveller Fare
| Charge | Amount |
| GST | 5% of the km fare |
| Driver night charge | ₹[night charge] per night away from Delhi |
| State tax | By state and seat count |
| Toll tax | As per receipts on your route |
| Parking | As per actuals |
| Roof carrier | ₹300 |
State tax rises once a tempo traveller has more than 12 seats. In Himachal Pradesh it is ₹5,000 per day for a 13 to 20 seater against ₹550 for a vehicle with up to 12 seats, so for Shimla and Manali a 12 seater keeps the total lowest when your group fits. How to Get the Lowest Tempo Traveller Fare for Your Group
Five choices at the planning stage change the total fare:
- Use the km you already pay for. A 3 day Shimla trip is billed for 750 km while the round trip is 682 km, so a side trip to Kufri fits inside the 68 km you have already paid for.
- Fill the seats. A full 20 seater costs ₹375 per person per outstation day, a full 9 seater ₹583.
- Stay at 12 seats or fewer for Himachal Pradesh and Punjab when your group fits, since state tax for 13 to 20 seats is 9 to 10 times higher there.
- Book the return with the same vehicle. One-way drops are billed at twice the round-trip per km rate, because the vehicle runs back to Delhi empty.
- Ask for GST, state tax and expected tolls as separate lines, so you can compare quotes on the same basis.
You can compare seating plans and vehicle photos for each seater before you book a tempo traveller in Delhi.
